大跨距电缆桥架是一种较一般电缆桥架的支撑跨度大，且由于结构上设计精巧，因而又比一般电缆桥架具有承载能力大等特点的桥架，所以它不仅适用于炼油、化工、纺织、机械、冶金、电力、电视、广播等工矿企事业的室内外电缆架空的敷设，也可作为地下的工事，例如：地铁、人防工程的电缆沟和电缆隧道内支架。
